China’s stock stamp duty revenue jumps more than 80% as AI frenzy boosts trading
China collected 216 billion yuan in stock-trading stamp duty during the first eight months of the year, an 82 per cent year-on-year increase, according to Ministry of Finance data. Improved sentiment linked to the artificial intelligence boom helped lift average daily trading values on mainland exchanges by 72 per cent.
