TechSaudi national arrested over recording device at OpenAI office
The US Department of Justice said OpenAI employee Abdulrahman Alfozan, a 35-year-old Saudi national, was arrested on October 9 on suspicion of secretly installing an audio recording device at the company’s office. He had worked there as an engineer since July 2025. If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
