EconomyIMF cuts forecast for Russia’s economic growth

The IMF now expects Russia’s economy to grow by 0.9% in both 2026 and 2027, down from its July forecast of 1.1% for each year. It said high global energy prices and increased defense spending are supporting the economy amid a weak outlook for energy-intensive economies.
