TechEU fines Google €403 million over improper use of location data
Ireland, acting for the European Union, said Google was fined €403 million for improperly using users’ location data from May 2018 to February 2020. The eight-year delay prompted criticism from the European Consumer Organisation, which said delayed enforcement can be as harmful as no enforcement at all.
