TechGoogle fined more than €400m by Irish regulator over location data

Ireland’s Data Protection Commission has fined Google €403m for how it processed users’ location data. The watchdog said people may not have realised their information was being used to target adverts or infer sensitive details such as health conditions and political views, and ordered Google to comply with the GDPR within six months.
