Italian spear fisherman and diver Giacomo De Mola made an unexpected discovery off the coast of Sicily. What first appeared to him to be a rock beneath the water proved to be the wreck of a Roman transport vessel dating back 2,000 years. The find turned an ordinary underwater sighting into an encounter with an ancient shipwreck.
