WorldEurope ‘passed the test’ of Ceuta crisis, EU commissioner says

The EU’s migration chief said the bloc successfully met the test posed by the Ceuta migrant crisis. She said the response demonstrated Europe’s border-security capacity and its resilience against disinformation. More than 70,000 migrants crossed from Morocco into the Spanish enclave within 24 hours last Thursday. The influx heightened tensions among EU partners, but those tensions eased after a constructive extraordinary meeting on Tuesday.
