WorldEU says it passed test of border security with Ceuta incident

The European Union says it has shown solidarity with Spain after emergency discussions about last week’s mass crossing into Ceuta. Officials also concede that the episode exposed lessons the bloc must learn. Spain says roughly 72,000 migrants entered the Spanish enclave from Morocco, while about 70,000 have since gone back. The crisis has revealed disagreements among EU members and placed additional strain on relations within the bloc. At least 83 people have died during the crisis.
