Former Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly seeks to buy Lukoil’s foreign assets
Todd Boehly has formed a consortium to bid for the foreign assets of sanctioned Russian oil producer Lukoil, the Financial Times reported, citing sources. The group includes the U.S. DFC, Emirati and Qatari partners with ties to the Trump family, and is reportedly at an advanced stage. Boehly is seeking to outbid Carlyle, whose earlier agreement still awaits Washington’s approval. Lukoil’s foreign holdings are valued at about $20 billion.
