SportsROC to ask IOC to strip gymnastics world championships of Olympic qualifying status
Russian Olympic Committee head Mikhail Degtyarev said the ROC would appeal to the IOC and World Gymnastics to remove the Rotterdam World Artistic Gymnastics Championships’ Olympic qualifying status. The move follows the Dutch authorities’ refusal to issue visas to team leaders Angelina Melnikova, Victoria Listunova and Anna Kalmykova.
