SportsNetherlands denies visas to 3 Russian gymnasts, keeping them out of world championships

The Russian Gymnastics Federation said Dutch authorities denied visas to Angelina Melnikova, Viktoria Listunova and Anna Kalmykova, barring them from the world championships in Rotterdam later this month. It said the stated reason was that one or more Schengen members considered the athletes a threat to international relations, and said it would appeal to the IOC and World Gymnastics.
