TechLedger wallet tampering suspected after reports of crypto thefts
Ledger users have reported drained accounts, with suspicion focused on reseller CryptoBillis and a spy implant that may capture screen contents, including setup seed phrases, and transmit them to attackers. Ledger has asked the reseller to halt sales during an investigation. More than $86 million in crypto was reportedly stolen from hundreds of wallets, mainly in Southeast Asia. There is no indication Ledger’s systems or wallets bought directly from the company were affected.
