US President Donald Trump says he and Russian President Vladimir Putin have agreed that Moscow will immediately release 300,000 tonnes of diesel onto the global market, followed by 500,000 tonnes in November and another million later. The US Treasury then issued a temporary license allowing Russian diesel imports. US diesel prices have doubled since the Iran war began in February; the current average is $6.28 a gallon.
