The EU says an agreement with China could cut Chinese exports of plug-in and battery-powered hybrid cars to the bloc by more than half over four years, amounting to several million vehicles. The deal follows negotiations since June aimed at easing trade tensions; discussions will continue on cars, rare-earth export restrictions and EU food and drink access to China.
