The China-Laos 500-kilovolt interconnection has transmitted more than 1 billion kilowatt-hours since coming into operation, a record for the two countries. The line began operating on April 20. The countries plan to expand cooperation in grid dispatch, cross-border operation and maintenance, electricity trading and emergency response, while promoting green power and clean-energy markets.
