SocietyICE detainees in Georgia use video-call software to expose conditions inside facility

Four men detained at Georgia’s Folkston ICE Processing Center used its video-conferencing software to record a five-minute video describing conditions and denouncing what they called the Trump administration’s takeover of immigration courts. They said detainee work paid just $1 a day. After the video emerged, those featured were reportedly placed in segregation; 45 detainees later signed an open letter, and an estimated 73 began a hunger strike.
