Defence technology firm Anduril says it will invest $3.7bn in a new Maryland shipyard to make critical components for the US Navy’s Virginia-class submarines. The company will receive a $2.9bn Navy contract, while the facility is expected to create 3,100 jobs and support more than 11,000 indirect roles.
