Germany’s federal prosecutors say former Federal Intelligence Service chief August Hanning was arrested on suspicion of espionage, treason and obtaining classified information for a foreign power. Police also arrested former agency employee Manfred D, accused of passing Hanning about 2,000 classified documents for money. The foreign intelligence services involved have not been identified.
