Lithuania’s parliament voted 106-18, with six abstentions, to advance a constitutional amendment removing the ban on deploying nuclear weapons on its territory. Speaker Juozas Olekas said the change would strengthen resilience and deterrence. A final vote must come after at least three months and needs 94 of 141 lawmakers.
