TechPentagon formally stops using Anthropic tools amid US-China AI militarisation

A US defence official told the BBC that the Pentagon has stopped using Anthropic’s AI products. The company was designated a national-security supply-chain risk after refusing to remove Claude’s safeguards on mass surveillance and autonomous weapons. Sources said Claude had been embedded in Palantir’s Maven system for intelligence gathering and analysis.
