Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved UniCredit’s reorganization of its Russian subsidiary and the sale of the new entity. The Italian bank plans to sell most of UniCredit Bank Russia to a private investor from the United Arab Emirates while retaining control of its payments arm, with completion targeted for the first half of 2027.
