France will fully or partly suspend lessons at 400 to 500 schools on Monday because security conditions have not been met, Education Minister Édouard Geffray said. Since student unrest began last week, 24 schools have been burned or ransacked and 78 education workers injured. Organisers have called for demonstrations to resume on Tuesday.
