Swiss voters have overwhelmingly rejected proposals to impose a stricter interpretation of the country's neutrality. More than 70% opposed measures that would have required UN approval for sanctions and blocked closer ties with Nato. Russia backed the initiative, while the federal government and other major parties opposed it.
