PoliticsUS to build two military bases in Greenland under new deal with Denmark
The US, Denmark and Greenland have signed a defence agreement allowing Washington to establish new defence areas at Narsarsuaq and Mestersvig, while reaffirming Danish sovereignty over Greenland. The deal also permits expansion of the Pituffik Space Base and bars non-Nato states from establishing military installations or maintaining a persistent troop presence there.
