ScienceUN climate body accused of conflicts of interest and Saudi influence
A Guardian investigation has questioned potential conflicts of interest among experts preparing the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s next major assessment. It says 20 of the 223 lead authors examining ways to reduce or remove emissions have strong conflicts of interest, with more than half linked to Saudi institutions, including two Saudi Aramco employees.
