ScienceUN climate body accused of conflicts of interest and Saudi influence

A Guardian investigation has questioned possible conflicts of interest among experts working on the next major assessment by the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. It says 20 of the 223 lead authors assessing ways to reduce or remove emissions have strong conflicts of interest, with more than half linked to Saudi institutions, including two Saudi Aramco employees.
