WorldEU fails to finalise deal to lift sanctions on Russian oligarchs

EU countries failed on Monday to finalise a deal that would remove Russian oligarchs Alisher Usmanov and Mikhail Fridman from the bloc’s sanctions list. Diplomats had earlier said member states provisionally agreed to the move as a compromise to extend sanctions on nearly 3,000 other people and entities over the Ukraine war.
