Germany’s far-right AfD is already discussing a possible restart of Russian gas supplies with Moscow. Its foreign policy spokesperson Markus Frohnmaier spoke personally with Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller, while party leader Beatrix von Storch said AfD wants affordable energy from as many sources as possible. Wider talks could take place in March 2027 if Russia and Ukraine agree on peace-settlement terms.
