An alleged Palestinian gunman shot and killed an Israeli man near a West Bank settlement on Sunday, Israeli officials said. Police said he was later found and arrested at a hospital in Ramallah. In a separate incident, Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian motorist the military said had tried to run them over. The violence flared on the eve of Yom Kippur.
