Researchers led by UCLA geochemists Randon J. Flores and Robert A. Eagle measured T. rex body temperature through its teeth, finding a reading of about 36°C—roughly that of a modern elephant. The result adds evidence to the debate over whether dinosaurs generated their own body heat.
