At least 49 people have died and 100 others were injured in Nigeria’s Ondo State after drinking alcohol suspected of containing methanol. Authorities believe the locally brewed, high-alcohol herbal drink “Monkey Shoulder” may have caused the poisoning. Police say 15 people have been arrested as investigations continue.
