CultureIreland boycotts Eurovision for second year over Israel’s inclusion

Ireland will not take part in or broadcast next year’s Eurovision Song Contest for a second consecutive year. Public broadcaster RTÉ said participation could not be justified amid the ongoing loss of life and humanitarian crisis in Gaza, while also citing concern over the continued denial of independent access for international journalists. Ireland follows the Netherlands in withdrawing over Israel’s participation.
