TechChina rolls out largest domestically developed shield machine

China’s largest domestically developed shield machine, Zhongtie 1662, has rolled off the production line in Zhengzhou. Built by China Railway Engineering Equipment Group, the 16.68-meter-diameter machine will construct a tunnel beneath a reservoir in Hefei, Anhui Province.
