The Democratic Republic of the Congo says its 17th Ebola outbreak has passed its peak and is under control. However, local flare-ups, ongoing transmission and the first confirmed case in northwestern Sud-Ubangi, the seventh affected province, remain concerns. WHO says the outbreak is still uncontrolled and increasingly geographically uneven. By Sept. 10, 7,022 cases and 3,398 deaths had been recorded.
