HealthDRC authorities say Ebola outbreak has peaked as infections slow

Authorities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo say the Ebola outbreak has reached its peak, with daily new cases falling from about 120 to 80. The health minister urged continued prevention measures, while an MP warned against “triumphalism” and called for transparent evidence that transmission is under control. More than 7,200 cases and 3,475 deaths had been recorded by 14 September.
