WorldDenmark says Russian warship fired flares at military helicopter
Denmark accused a Russian warship of firing two emergency flares at a Danish military helicopter during a routine monitoring operation in international waters in the Baltic Sea. One flare passed close to the aircraft. Copenhagen summoned Russia’s ambassador, while Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen called the act “reckless” and intended to “intimidate and divide”. Moscow has not commented.
