Europe recorded its busiest summer air traffic on record despite the war in the Middle East, with 35,959 flights per day. Flights to Albania, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia rose sharply as Europeans opted for holiday destinations closer to home.
