EconomyRussia’s central bank holds key rate at 14% for the first time since 2025
Russia’s central bank kept its key rate at 14%, marking its first pause in roughly a year and a half. It said the economy was growing moderately in the third quarter while price pressures had risen sharply, and forecast inflation at 6.0–7.0% in 2026 before a return to 4.0% in 2027. The decision followed ten consecutive cuts.
