China recorded 23.72 million visa-free entries by foreign nationals in the first eight months of 2026, a 26.8% year-on-year increase and 77.6% of all foreign arrivals. Authorities processed 499 million cross-border trips and 28.148 million transport movements, up 8.7% and 15%, respectively.
