The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen said on Wednesday that Iran-backed Houthi rebels had launched new attacks in southern Saudi Arabia after beginning an offensive to seize control of the Bab al-Mandeb Strait. Analyst Adam Baron said simultaneous disruption of shipping in the Red Sea and Gulf could provide “tremendous leverage” to press for a resolution.
