The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen said Wednesday that Iran-backed Houthi rebels had launched new attacks in southern Saudi Arabia, following an offensive aimed at controlling the Bab al-Mandeb Strait. Adam Baron of the New America Foundation said simultaneous disruption of shipping in the Red Sea and Gulf could provide “tremendous leverage” to pressure for a resolution.
