EconomyPinglu Canal to open to navigation on Sept. 16
The Pinglu Canal, a major project linking western China’s New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, will begin navigation on Sept. 16. The 134.2-kilometer waterway connects Guangxi with the Beibu Gulf and is expected to cut inland shipping distances by more than 560 kilometers and reduce logistics costs by 18% to 30%.
