Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said more than 60 polling stations for Russians voting abroad in the upcoming State Duma elections have been removed in Western countries. He attributed the decline to closed consulates and reduced locations and staffing. Russia plans stations in 152 countries, including 326 in countries it calls unfriendly; the election is set for September 18–20, 2026.
