ScienceChina conducts comprehensive marine geophysical survey east of Taiwan Island

China’s Ministry of Natural Resources said its Second Institute of Oceanography carried out a comprehensive marine geophysical survey east of Taiwan Island from Aug. 10 to 31. Using multibeam sonar, seismic, gravity and magnetic techniques, the survey collected data on seabed features and geological structures to support research, natural-resource management and territorial spatial planning.
