EconomyFrance targets ultra-fast fashion with new levy on Asian e-commerce platforms
France will begin charging a fee on ultra-fast fashion items from Tuesday, with the levy eventually rising to nearly €20 per garment. The measure follows legislation passed in June to regulate companies selling large volumes of cheap, lower-quality clothing and is aimed at platforms including Shein, Temu and AliExpress.
