EconomyFrance hits Shein and Temu with fast fashion fees
France has begun charging fees on fast-fashion items sold by platforms including Shein, Temu and AliExpress. The 2026 levy ranges from €0.50 for underwear to €12 for jackets and could rise to €19.50 per item by 2030. China’s commerce ministry called the law discriminatory and a possible trade barrier that could breach WTO principles.
