China’s first shipment of emergency aid reached Kathmandu on Sunday after a severe mudslide in Nepal. Four Chinese tunnel rescue specialists arrived on the same flight to support rescue work. The shipment includes tents, blankets, sleeping bags, compressed food and first-aid kits. Nepalese authorities say the Aug. 26 disaster killed 675 people and left 2,498 missing.
