TechJudge rules Trump administration illegally retaliated against Anthropic
A US judge ruled that the Department of Defense acted unlawfully by labeling AI startup Anthropic a supply-chain risk and ordering military contractors to boycott it. The judge called the move “illegal and baseless”, saying national security is not a blank check to punish government critics. Anthropic had resisted military use of its models for surveillance and autonomous weapons.
