A US federal judge ruled that the Pentagon unlawfully designated Anthropic a “supply chain risk” after the AI company refused to permit unrestricted military use of its technology and criticized the Defense Department. Judge Rita Lin said invoking national security was not a blank check to punish government critics and found the action aimed to make an example of the company.
