EconomyWorld Bank projects war-hit Lebanon’s economy to contract by 6.4 percent
The World Bank forecasts Lebanon’s economy will contract 6.4 percent in 2026 after the March escalation in conflict with Israel disrupted a brief post-crisis recovery. Damage to infrastructure, displacement, supply-chain disruptions, collapsed tourism and weaker demand are expected to push inflation to 17.5 percent.
